Why Supported Living?
Supported living offers more than just a place to live—it offers the foundation for a fulfilling life. At Ridge View Homes, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live as independently as possible, with dignity, choice, and purpose.
Supported living empowers individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs to make their own choices, develop essential life skills, and actively participate in their communities. It helps reduce social isolation, giving people the chance to live in safe, inclusive environments where they are treated with respect and equality—just like anyone else.
Our dedicated care support workers focus on what each person can do, rather than what they can’t. We enable our service users to gain confidence, enjoy meaningful routines, build strong social networks, and feel fully connected to the world around them.

What Makes Our Care Different?
Person-Centred Approach
Our care is not one-size-fits all. We work in close collaboration with individuals, families, friends, social workers, education providers, and health professionals to co-create a personalised support plan. This plan evolves over time, ensuring it remains relevant as needs, goals, and preferences change.
Community Engagement
We’ve developed a unique Community Asset Mapping system, allowing us to match each person with local opportunities, services, and social groups tailored to their interests and needs. This ensures our service users are not just living in the community—but thriving in it.
Whether it’s catching the local bus, going to college, joining a sports club, attending social events, or securing meaningful employment, we help our residents lead full and active lives.
Educational and Vocational Pathways
We partner with local schools, colleges, and supported internship programmes to help individuals access the right educational or vocational routes. Many of our service users have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), and we work closely with education providers to ensure each learner receives the tailored support they need.
We also promote employability skills development, both within college settings and through Ridge View Homes’ bespoke support framework, giving our service users the tools they need to prepare for the workplace.
Holistic, Day-to-Day Support
We offer comprehensive daily living support which may include (but is not limited to):
- Domestic support and household tasks
- Shopping and meal planning
- Personal care and hygiene
- Administering and managing prescribed medication
- Exercise programmes and physical rehabilitation
- Social and recreational activities
- Behavioural and emotional support
Each aspect of care is aligned with professional recommendations and health care needs.

Digital Excellence
At Ridge View Homes, we embrace innovation through advanced digital systems that offer real-time visibility into the care and support our residents receive.
These tools enable our team to respond quickly and effectively to changing needs, ensuring that our approach remains flexible and person-centred. By leveraging data-driven insights, we continuously improve the quality of our services. Our commitment to digital excellence also supports safe, transparent information sharing with key health and social care partners — helping to reduce risk and promote seamless collaboration across all aspects of care.
Innovative Digital Healthcare Partnership
We are proud to be connected directly to the NHS through a secure 24/7 video link with the Airedale NHS Foundation Trust’s Immedicare Telemedicine Service. This means our service users can receive high-quality clinical assessments, advice, and early interventions without needing to attend hospital or emergency services—leading to better health outcomes and peace of mind.
Measuring Progress with Life Star
We use the Life Star tool from Outcomes Star to support and monitor individual development. It’s an evidence-based framework designed specifically for adults and young people with learning disabilities. It helps track progress across areas like well-being, independence, and community participation, ensuring each individual’s journey is recognised, celebrated, and meaningfully supported.
Skilled, Compassionate, and Trained Staff
We believe that great care starts with great people. Our team is led by professionals with deep knowledge and lived experience in Health and Social Care. All Ridge View Homes staff meet and exceed mandatory CQC and company training standards. Regular refresher sessions ensure our team stays up to date with best practices in care and safeguarding.
